Crossings in Our Lives

This picture was taken in western New Mexico next to a BNSF railroad track crossing. There are several physical symbols in the picture. 1) The red cliffs are sandstone that cover broad areas of the Southwest US and the layers are supportive of a worldwide flood such as the Noah Flood. 2) The clouds are part of an incoming storm that will probably deliver rain, but not like the rain of the Flood. God said He would never flood the earth again and gave the sign of the rainbow for it. 3) The railroad crossing is symbolic in that each of us must stop, look, and listen at various points in our lives-to hear God's Voice before going forward.

James 1
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Matthew 6
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

15 And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.
16 Lord, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God.
17 Of a truth, Lord, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,

27 But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me.

31 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the Lord of hosts shall do this.
32 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.
33 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the Lord.
34 For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.
37 And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead..." KJV

Yahweh will save His People (The Jewish Nation)-that all the earth may know He is the Lord Almighty. Let us turn to Him through His Son Jesus Christ while there is time.

The Noah Flood Account is a True Narrative Representation

The reliable indicators of a true narrative are: Determinancy (words/objects that are known to exist are used in it), Connectedness (there is a time sequential pattern to the account), and Generalizability (the account can be tested or that there is residual evidence to a past non-reproducible event). The Noah Flood fits all of these criteria. This is called a TNR: True Narrative Representation. My book goes into great detail on these criteria.

The Noah Flood Account has real objects in it-Determinancy.

The Noah Flood Account has very precise time sequencing to it and a chiastic word structure to it-Connectedness. (Please note that the chiastic word structure is an ancient word form for expressing historical accounts.)

32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.

The Rainbow and God's Purpose for It

Genesis 9
8 "And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
18 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.
19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread." KJV

Do we grasp the reality that God at one time flooded the whole earth destroying all life that lived on the ground/air of the earth that was not in the Ark? As Creator, He also designed and made the principles by which a rainbow occurred and what it meant to Him and to mankind. He is the Almighty Creator (el Shaddai-the Almighty One). The Evolutionary religio-philosophy can not address this. (See sections on Issues in Creation and Evolution, and Interfacing of Religion, Philosophy and Science.)
