Evolution gives no reasonable process by which the complex organs of the common fly came about and continue to exist. As well, the fly has been very adaptable, and may reflect variation 2nd to gene differences and genetic drift through the generational process of male-female gene mixing through mating. The fly may represent short term stasis as seen in Baltic amber (although stasis is largely an evolutionary concept requiring long periods of time ).
The fly is seen better as a divine creation, which has been corrupted from that initial purpose; e.g. it now carries disease to other life forms and is affected by disease itself and gene deterioration through gene mutational load-e.g. the buildup of harmful mutations. However, it is also unknown how many "kinds" of flies there may have been at the initial creation. Both "kind" and "species" are groupings. It is amazing that God brought the animals to Adam for him to name. See section on Issues in Creation and Evolution then tab Adaptation/Variation on this website for more information. Images: Buckland, a leading paleontologist of the 1800's in England, was aware of the Nautilus as done by the Hand of God; the cut modern and fossil form shows the exquisite design for flotation and growth; the block of crushed fossils (lower left) supports traumatic burial; the crushed fossil (lower right) shows crushing and flattening consistent with being buried under heavy strata (possibly before fossilization); a couple of example forms from Nevada USA and the Tythes Region of the Himalayas revels similarity of form yet great distance apart with large differences in current elevations (consistent with massive shifting of strata post layering during the Flood). Not shown but commented on by some British geologists are very similar nautiloid forms that are found in different "assigned" time periods, e.g. Jurassic and Cretaceous. It seems that this data could fit better with the rapid sequential deposition of layers of these strata (disregarding the "assumed" vast age differences).
Whole Shekel to the left and similar half Shekel to the Right Shekel means weight and the Tyre coin was a convenient accurate weight of silver and so was accepted by the Priests of the Temple. Sadly it had the image of Melqart on it.( Melqart was a pagan god.) Yet, the Tyre 1/2 Shekel was still used for the Tax even in 1st Century Jerusalem. "A rare ancient silver coin, of the type used to pay the half-shekel tax in ancient times, was recently discovered in an archaeological excavation that is being conducted in the Walls Around Jerusalem National Park near the City of David, in what was the main drainage channel of Jerusalem during the Second Temple period...The origin of the commandment to pay the half-shekel head tax to the Temple is in the weekly Biblical reading... in the Book of Exodus." The writer also commented that "devout" Jews, in present day, before the reading of the Scroll of Esther during Purim donate a sum of money which is then given to the poor.
