1) It confirms the consistency and continuity of the scriptures transmission through the Millennium..
2) It is often closely contemporary with the writers and supports their existence and culture.
3) It has been used as a map to locate and understand Bibilcal archaeology sites.
4) It is a marker of the history of the Jewish Peoples in the land and the many wars that they have gone through to maintain it.
