Every single person on the face of the earth has religious beliefs: an explanation for the beginning and ending of all material matter and life and a purpose for living. These form the principles of ethics for life for each single individual.
Each person also has philosophic or reasoned applications of these principles which are played out in their morality for living.
All mankind practice science when each person learns to manipulate his physical environment for the "comfort of living" etc. This is seen in the wife cooking her families' meals and how she chooses to combine and cook the parts of the meals. Science involves the observation and manipulation of one's physical environment for any number of purposes: building a road, house, new medicine etc. Nothing More!
An "Evolutionist" is just as religious as a "Creationist". They both take the observations of empirical observed science and place them into a religio-philosophic worldview. There are NO direct observations of true evolving life forms nor of creating (ex nihilo) life forms occuring today. Observations of "nature" are placed into the framework (religio-philosphical) of the person or persons when they want to give meaning to what they are or have observed.
We, as parents, need to teach our children to think critically. And I am biased. I believe that the vastly complex structures of all life forms argue for a Designer not some non-theistic random, really un-discovered principle(s) in "nature" as the cause of their existence. Remember the scriptures,
"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork."Ps 19:1 and;
"Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven." Ps 85:11
All men have seen and heard of the Living God. Let us all repent and seek His face while He may be found.
