Please note the tremendous subtle variations in just this group of reptiles. Post removal from the Ark great spreading out, isolation and intra-breeding would have allowed many various types/species of life forms, including reptiles, to develop. Pictures from New Mexico/Arizona. Also, I am not a herpetologist, but the identification appears accurate after I reviewed some reptile identification sources.
