The strata containing fossils cover the vast majority of the crustal earth that is above the level of the ocean. Even the Himalaya Mountains and the strata at the level and next to the Dead Sea contain them. Much evidence supports that living organisms were rapidly and sequentially buried. This is consistent with the Noah Flood Account. Below is a nice overview regarding fossils by Answers in Genesis.
