"Living Fossils" are an oxymoron for evolutionists as they should not exist-they should have evolved. So the concept of speciation is used to explain them, e.g. that they have evolved as seen by speciation. But speciation is really only variation within a "kind". No forms of life have been directly demonstrated to link two entirely different, not speciated, forms of life.
This is of course involves semantics-as to who defines the groupings of life forms. Evolutionists do it one way and creationists do it another way. Both employ a philosophic framework in which to put the limited observations of science.
I choose to accept that a Creator made the initial groupings of life forms.
