God has built into every living thing attributes that allow it to grow, reproduce and survive adversity in this fallen earth. The complexity of living things-botanical and biological argue against evolution and for design. The philosophy of Evolution has not been consistent with the observations of natural processes-by which mutations, a degradative process, demonstrate the breakdown of life forms. This is consistent with the philosophical concept that life forms were originally designed to function without deterioration. There would have been a different balance to nature then-of course. The Bible, in Genesis, talks about biological life forms eating plants forms but not each other-before the Fall (sin against God) of/by Adam and Eve. Corruption of the physical creation began after that event.
Genesis 1
29 "Then God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.' And it was so. 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day." NIV
