Do we understand much about the glory of God? He has revealed Himself in the Creation. Not that He is part of it, but He formed it and gave man the responsibility to care for it. Yet the Creation is corrupted. Why? The Scriptures talk about through one man (Adam) sin entered the earth and then the process of death began affecting all the Creation; yet by another (Jesus Christ) the gift of life is offered in which mankind, each individually, can recieve a reborn spirit and one day a new body. As well, there will be a new heavens and earth (uncorrupted):
Romans 5
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Romans 10
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
JGL comments: The Scriptures are clear. All mankind have been affected by sin from Adam on and need a Savior. The Creation has been impacted sin as well. The earth and life on it are falling apart. So called improvement by the gene mutational process is not making life forms better. It is corrupting them as the Scriptures below indicate-the Creation is corrupted. And the process of "Nature Red in Tooth and Claw" involves the corrupted behavior of life forms. Those behaviors do not lead to increasing complexity of life forms but the trearing down of them. As well, there was a world wide flood and that is seen in the stratified layers across the earth. Evolution does not work! (See sections on this website and others linked to it for further answers.)
The scriptures continue:
Romans 8
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
The Scriptures state that we must be about the Master's Work:

35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
If you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior then let Him lead you into the fields, and if you don't know Him ask him to be your Savior now as the scriptures in Romans 10 above and the Theology section in the website discuss.
