Yet, another view can be taken: low lying hills were scoured during the early phases of the Noah Flood and then basement rock began to be sequentially covered with sediments containing aquatic life, botanical and biological, and which were rapidly fossilized. The rifting and breaking apart of one land mass into continents would have occurred later in the flood (and post flood). Massive erosion would have occurred in the final stages of the flood and it's subsidence. The supposed time periods between layers would have been vastly shortened-as radiometric dating has significant problems and un-observed assumptions must be made.
There have been numerous talented scientists who generally support the above scenario: Dr Henry Morris (hydrologist) and John Whitcomb (theologian) The Genesis Flood; Dr John Morris (geologist) The Global Flood; Dr Andrew Snelling(geologist)Earth's Catas-trophic Past; Drs L.Vardiman, A. Snelling, E.Chaffin, R.Humphries, J. Baumgardner and D.DeYoung (astrophysics, geologist, physicist, physicist, geophysicist, physicist) Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth.
