Large areas of the Southwest US have the geological designations Triassic and Jurassic (along with some Cretaceous). They are similar with some strata found in Europe. Yet, all these strata where laid down under traumatic conditions-broad flood plains and volcanic eruptions. The plants and animal life show rapid traumatic burial. Trees are often crushed yet retain growth rings, bark partially torn off, root bulbs without extensions of the roots, leaves in large matted layers-and all fossilized. Reptile, fish, crustacean life forms show crushing and often intact burial and some within death assemblages. These observations can be consistent with massive regional flooding and also supportive of worldwide flooding such as the Noah Flood.
